In St. Louis for two weeks... Cool shops/jams?

With that said the snobbery is there and was a bit awkward going in but the young sales guy is cool and once they let me in the amp room it was just me, a gearhead sales kid and walls of death.

Definitely worth the trip.

Also ya St. Louis can be bad. Just like any other city. You could stay inside the hotel for two weeks and be safe lol. I've never had any issues ever in downtown stl.

Yep! I don't go into gear stores expecting to get the royal treatment so maybe that's why I wasn't offended by their service which to me was fine. They were nice to me and had one of the best selections of high end gear I've been to and I used to live in Nashville who had it's fair share of nice high end stores.

Pretty well traveled, and not the easiest looking mugging option. That said, I'll keep my head on a swivel. Thanks for the suggestions fellas. I'll be sure to check em all out. I was actually hopeful I could swoop in and snag a killer craigslist or two.. but I'm not seeing much in the area in the ways of "OMG THATS A STUPID GOOD Deal!".

didn't some older guy that was a regular acoustic player in soulard get the crap beat out of him by some kids for no reason a few months ago? ....i have worked all over st louis for the last 10 years - i never go over into the city for anything besides work anymore - there's nothing there but trouble and miserable people. i'm trying to save money to away from this accursed place to be honest lol :lol: :LOL: ... the only thing i would be able to tell anyone looking for any kind of music whatever in st louis is to stay the hell out of the city/county....i would stay west of 270 if you do anything at least lol

It will be difficult . Hennings are made in Cali and Landrys are in St Louis , and both are not sold thru dealers . I would love to try both .
