Im 6'1 215lbs, Im pretty sure that my Wolfgang looks a lot more size appropriate on me than the 3/4 size guitar John is playing there.
I can understand the weight issue a little, I have a messed up neck and back... but the amount of stress put over a couple of ounces is ridiculous. Oh that guitar is 8lbs and 4 ozs.. Its too much!!
However, neck thickness is a huge problem for me, my hands are small compared to the rest of my frame, I wear a large gloves, and those thick necks will cause massive hand cramping in a very very short time frame, I've tried to own the Gibson 50s neck a couple of times, but everyone i have had to g et rid of, the 60s slim taper is my comfort zone, but I also love the Ibanez wizard 3 necks too, the thinned the better... Ernie Ball necks have really appealed to me too with the narrower fret board.
