I was just reading tonight that he was a Marshall 2205 guy back in the Doro days, like Schenker and Norum. I’ve never gotten a tone I liked from those amps, ever, but those 3 guys seem to have it down.

I read somewhere that Mark Cameron did some mods for Jon Levin ?
I stated before and am in agreement he does Dokken better then Lynch.
Lynch was my favorite player, but most of the time anymore he is pretty hit n miss.

I think with those amps you have to pull back the highs and the mids some and then hit em slightly with a boost. Essentially the same circuit as the Jubilee is it not? Slash loves those because they more or less gave him that bite and concentrated highs he got with the 36/39 Appetite amp(s). They seem to really accentuate the high treble frequencies. I actually am surprised the amount of guys who were using the DSL 2000 ( first ones not anything after) in their back line. Boosting it to taste. Nuno, Levin and others..

Norum DOUBLE boosts them ! I think it’s two Sd-1s. Big difference to Levin with an 808 and Schenker with no boost, just the Wah Wah.

I don't think Norum double boosts anymore does he? I thought that was his marshalls qith single coils. Schenker has a TS9 on his board but not sure he uses it at all times.
