Why doesn't Marshall do something original like actually original and make a new design based on JCM or JTM models or something entirely new.....

Vs this sack of Dogshit from Blow Jobs A lot Armstrong :dunno:

Why quote me? We aren't talking, we aren't friends. Put your opinion/comment whatever like everyone else. But don't quote me like your trying to argue or have a gay experience. Shit like this is why I rarely post...jeeze.

^^^^ this is amazing

Huh, I never knew the Pete amp was an exact copy of Cavallo's amp. I also didn't know that the JB was the humbucker used on Dookie. Popular belief is that it was a Bill Lawrence high output humbucker, but Cavallo said he removed that pickup before recording.

Smash was and still is a fun album to listen to. I think Noodles was using a Mark IV on that album, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't hear anything special in this amp. Put a decent boost in front of an 800 and you have the same sound. And for an even better sound, pop the Green Day album in the trash and throw on some NOFX :rawk:. They always got great punk tones from Mark Series amps.

I'd love to have one, but $$$ for me to swallow when I already have few Marshalls to cover that type of tone.
If this is a limited run I am sure these will go up in value in future as pretty much all Marshall sig amps did.

It gets that sound but I know I wouldn’t find it all that useable as an amp for different kinds of rock. It’s a little too thick and fizzy for decent classic rock tones and it definitely gets too woofy and fizzy when the gain knob is up for metal. Not even really a decent tone for stoner metal.
It’s actually a signature amp that seems like it’s only decent setting is to nail down the one sound the original captured.

I will say the halfstack is sexy as fuck in that blue and wheat colored grill. But it makes me more interested in getting a kit amp or lower priced plexi variant and a headshell in that tolex color.
If we’re looking at 4K, I’d be a lot more inclined to see if Friedman could do a Plex or a Jose in that color headshell.

Edit…the Jose would definitely need a gold faceplate and rear panel though.

While MTV was shoving Green Day hits down our throats, I was busy listening to Pantera, Manson, and Devildriver on headbangers ball. Needless to say I’m not a fan of the punk rock scene but I acknowledge the impact they had.

Also the amp sucks. It’s 2026, add some features. Power output scaling, external bias, effects loops with features, so on and so forth.

You mean, like the Astoria?

Honestly......

I mean Marshall has so many good amps to use as a platform to mod and make better or make something new like the Vintage Modern or even a Mode 4 SS style amp.

Sounds like shit and BJ giver Armstrong looks like a Dyke or if Ellen DeGeneres transitioned to a man..... Totally AI looking and sounding too in this vid.... This is just some new BS for scalpers and straight edge square morons who don't know what else to do with their money.......

This.

Even if we're comparing the early albums, offspring had way better music

green day just looked "Cutesie" and marketable
My boss was in an Offspring cover band.... The Offsprung.

Anyways he had a gig he invited me to and right after their show a Green Day cover band played..... A lot of the crowd left when the Green Day cover band played :dunno:

I could only imagine how much hate there was when the sex pistols model came out, now that was an industry plant. Didnt expect quite as much greenday hate.

Love em or hate em. They are relevant and their name being attached to something is going to generate buzz. Need buzz to keep kids interested in learning guitar, playing analog stuff in workflows not just digital. I personally dont understand all the creed/mark Tremonti love or the limp bizkit revival. But fuck it if it keeps people interested.

Off my soapbox.

A lemmy kilmeister reissue would be cool though, this marshall have to pass. Idc if its marshall headfirst ceriatone. Idk if the superbass circuit for the lemmy signature was really that special or not. But man his sound was great to me.

Devileriver is such a badass band

“Dookie” sold 20 million copies in America alone…..

I found it interesting where they compared both the new amp and the old one that was used on the album and how both were like there is no difference in tone between them. If you listen there is a pretty big difference and the new one sounds equally as bad.

Just got an email about this amp from the national big box chain up here in Canada, Long and McQuade.
Retail is $5799.00
Thats $600 more than their retail for the mkIiC+ and recto re-issues, and the same price as the Canadian retail for the Friedman Jose.
Go fuk yourself Marshall.
That all I have to say about that

Not sure if this is a limited run, but it will sell, and that's likely the most important thing for Marshall.

I forgot about that! Really, people were upset about Steve Jones's Marshall? I don't get why that would be. The guy is considered one of the true founders of that kind of sound in the punk genre. My biggest complaint about Steve Jones is that there's too few of his material that exists.
