Huh, I never knew the Pete amp was an exact copy of Cavallo's amp. I also didn't know that the JB was the humbucker used on Dookie. Popular belief is that it was a Bill Lawrence high output humbucker, but Cavallo said he removed that pickup before recording.

Smash was and still is a fun album to listen to. I think Noodles was using a Mark IV on that album, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't hear anything special in this amp. Put a decent boost in front of an 800 and you have the same sound. And for an even better sound, pop the Green Day album in the trash and throw on some NOFX . They always got great punk tones from Mark Series amps.
