.....I might be wrong on this but I think you can still buy cae boards from Bob.Youll see various size rst boards fs on the bay and rev from time to time.Theres a rst24 on rev right now fs.
I have a 24.its awesome, it does so much,it's pretty deep in functions.Keep in mind all rst boards have a Preset b.Its like a whole nuther midi board hidden within your board. So u kinda get 2 independent midi boards for the price of one.
Fav preamp is a tough one.Of course one of em is my badcat preamp as there is only one other one in the wild.That was a special build between me and James.
Honestly I could live on an island with any one of the preamps.I only own a small handful of what's out there. I dnt know if I can narrow it down to one fav tho lol.Ive always been partial to my tx4 board triaxis, but I love the fish, and a hidden gem is undoubtedly the vht gp3.
The whole rack thing is very addictive, and the fun factor is off the charts most of the time..I probably didn't answer ur question. Let me think on it some lol.

It's hanging out in the ' can't fit it anywhere else' pile of gear in the room.Its a lifer preamp.never sell it even tho I have the new 88.they sound different.But man,I wanted a 99 like Dave l's too.Those are extremely hard to find.
Never tried boosting my mp1s.maybe should of.I do like the modded versions I have.Have u tried boosting them? I'm assuming a ts or variant?

Yes. I basically set the dynamic voice to zero for all presets in Triaxis and use the Mesa 5-band graphic externally.
The classic V setting pretty much works for most metal tone, so I hardly adjust the sliders.
