100UL - UltraLead with KT88 power tubes.
100CLX - Same as the UL, but with EL34 tubes?
50/100CL - Not like the UL. Basically has 2 distortion channels.
50ST - Clean and Distortion channels. Runs on four EL84s.

Correct, and the classic is the clx before they changed the name due to peavey

There were two 50ST’s. One with 4 EL84 and one with two EL34. I keep looking for the EL34 version. Found a few but were pretty trashed.
The CLX power section and phase inverter are different, same preamp.
The Classic and CLX don’t sound at all the same.
The CL had two channels which could be set however you want, dirty or clean. Most probably did two dirty like you said.

Love VHT Amps.

Had a 100clx for many years. Really regret selling it.

I have a VHT Pittbull 45 head now and I absolutely LOVE it for cleans and overdriven stuff. It’s not a metal monster like most VHTs but I think the Pittbull 45 is incredible

yup ...... Reverb .. Presence and FX Level on the back

in all honesty this is the only one I've played ...... so I can't compare ... so I guess i don't miss it all ...
