Its worth the wait if you dont get fucked over, but time is money ya know, your money. I remember buying one of 2 sd60`s at fatsound guitars. I didnt have a clue what it was. Stuart says plug in its instant zztop i did. I played and said how much he says i cant sell it nobody knows what they are it was used, $800 out the door, this was 96-97.

I just dont see how guys can pay for an amp and wait and wait but people do it all the time like the guy is an amp god or something. If cameron had ripped me off at that time a plane ticket was cheap. What im saying is 60-90 days is reasonable and nobody is knocking dave king`s door down to build an amp. TGP was all rage for naylors at one time now its on here 5-6 people. See what im getting at.

If I got a roofer to put shingles on a remodel i was doing and he wanted 50% upfront Id tell him to get fucked.

No drinking here dude Im just telling ya what I know. I called him one time inquiring about the 100 watt in early 2012, left a voice mail and he never called back. Thats all I needed to know.

My point is he has dealers but nobody has an amp for sale? Case in point bought a Park 75 from guitar riot they have ppmiv i dont want that shit. I paid and they sent it to mitch colby he took it out and had the amp in two weeks. Now thats ohio to ny to nola thats good business practice and will say Park 75 will walk the dog on many a favorite men`s amps even a jmp and a naylor.

Agreed 100%.
When I ordered my Gjika, Bob didn’t want any money. Said he wouldn’t take money from anyone without supplying the product, which is how it should be done.
Naylors seem like great amps, but based on some comments in this thread, something isn’t right with the business model.
Can’t answer an e-mail or take a phone call or text? I’d ask for my funds back.

Maybe I'm too trusting. When I ordered two custom Knaggs TS models from a music store, they a wanted 25% deposit and told me how long the build tIme was upfront. They were delivered on time, without issues. When I ordered the Naylor, I didn't see any trace of bad experiences, after looking. I also looked for used ones and after checking reverb and eBay, sold listing saw there maybe one or two a year, some for hundreds more than you could buy new. No Dual 100s. I also had a wanted post here and on thegearpage, without finding a used one. So I took chance
I agree he should deliver on time, return calls and email. Also, Racerxrated shouldn't still be wait since he ordered his in July.

He’s responded to me; never been an issue. But when I read the op was about to get his, and he ordered 4 months AFTER me then I’m getting a little riled.
But he’s going off what he was told in the beginning. Tired of waiting but what can ya do.
For what it’s worth yes the 2015 price list is still good for 2022. I’m paying 2860 for an SD 60 with HD footswitchable.

From what I know he bought the whole works from Joe, all electronics so its possible that he still using all the nos/chassis transformers etc. He has to be if he is still charging 2015 prices

You deserve to get your amp before I get mine!!! I was just relaying what I was told in November. This wasn’t meant to be a post about Naylor customer service. I was only asking if anyone with Naylor experience would let me know if the Hi Drive and Density options are decent and do they effect the overall tone.

I'm glad it opened the door a bit on the customer service side of Naylor and Dave.... it needs to be addressed and fixed. Any service you commit your hard earned dollars towards owes you the respect of communication at the least. Dave Friedman, John Suhr, Henric Hermannson, etc, etc still personally respond, to not only emails, but just live threads concerning their work/brand. I love Naylor amps... and would love to give more of my money for a new headshell.... but unfortunately, like most of said here, ... I have contacted Dave numerously... and 'crickets'.

All that being said, when you get your amp... it's gonna be a fantastic machine.

I had a 1995 SD60; fantastic amp that deserves all the accolades. I believe the versions post 1996 have the dual ganged MV which makes the amp even better. The HD option adds a small amount of gain but guys say it makes it more versatile esp with a boost. The SD I had, the low end was pretty thick though not like a Recto; but seems like a darker 2204 with a fixed depth mod. To me anyway.

Amazing amps. Can do many things. I have one on order from dave and a 1996 SD60 and a 1998 EV 60, These are unique amps and I have a room full of great amps but the Naylors are in a place of their own at the top of the heap. Glad I finally discovered them.

Actually, I’ve messaged Hermannson a few times on FB.
