VERY nice! The best Gibsons I've ever had were mid-90's LP Studios, and I probably had 3 exactly like this one. Shoulda kept them.

90-97 Studio is my favorite. This one has push / pull pots for single coil. Seymour Duncan 59 snd Distortion.

This has been like a project Strat. I just swapped back in the Pegasus humbucker, but I also have a Black Winter that is not being used. They are quite different pickups so it's hard to choose (both nice). With the Friedman, I think I need to compare it to a JVM in this room and then I'll know if I should keep it. Sometimes, what you got is much better than you realize. This happened with my Mark IV. I kept trying other Mesa amps (Stiletto Ace, Nomad, Dual Caliber, Recitifer, Triple Crown) and none of them sounded better to me than the IV. I also bought the Friedman because I wanted something smooth sounding that was more reliable than the Mark IV, which did have a capacitor go bad a few years ago. But even though the Friedman is "smooth", it doesn't really sound much like the Mark IV.
