I love screwing with scammers, I had a "female" scammer a week or two ago So I messed with her a little. Gets good at the last couple

What about having them send $ through PayPal as a "gift". As far as I know, once you "gift" someone money on PayPal, you have no recourse as it's a gift(?). I might be wrong though.

They're not actually going to send money :D

They're either looking to gather your email and personal info, or they're going to spoof an email from paypal to try and trick you into believing you've been paid...

Its surprising how many people try to scam on Craigslist. I guess people continue to fall for it. Unfortunate.

That is the standard scam language. An agent picking it up. You should fuck with him.

Start by asking how the T-Bone is at sea for all those months.
Ask for his brother's address and you might be able to deliver it personally.
Ask him for his PayPal email and you will send him a Request for Payment through PayPal.

+1

Tell him you need a picture of him to see if he's legit. In the picture he must wear a Pink tutu, a Moosehead tank top, and a large black dildo taped to his forehead while holding up a sign that says "TGP CorkSniffer"

I always love the writing style of these scammers:

"Yes, if but you and can give my butler the required moneys, I will and then send I amp love frisbee yes."

could be a true story ^^, i work as a 2nd officer on a offshore supply vessel in norway, internet is restricted onboard since its alot of work, 12-14 hours every day while at sea, salary is great so he could easiliy afford a pt100 as a gift. After taxes i get 5900 dollar each month as a newly graduated mariner, and a marine engineer depending on rank get more than that

I'm certain it's bullshit. Yes the job may be a realistic one for someone but not this guy. This is the second time over the last six moths I've gotten this same story almost worded verbatim but from a different person. Makes you wonder huh? Many generous sea men out there.

I want to be this guys brother because he's apparently also going to be gifted my Bogner XTC!

I got the exact same message.

That is the dudes in Nigeria, the same ones that did "I am rich princess and I am about to be arrested, and that will forfeait my $135 000 000.I am asking you, to help me transfer my money through your bank account. For that I will be giving you 10% of my money".
They hope to find a dumbass who will go for it and then they will pull him in to a long exchange of emails that ultimatelly will lead to "Sorry my kind hero, but I can be arrested in two hours. To not allow this to happen I need you to send me $550 so I can bribe police to help me escape the city. After that I can freely transfer my millions to your account".. or some shit like this.
The same thing with craigslist. It is one of those skinny dudes in Nigerian internet cafe, trying to get someone involved into some kind of internet deal that can always lead him to ask you to send him money in order to make that super awesome deal for you.
I know there is forums dedicated to play this scammers for months. I think it is called 411 scam or something.
