Mesa = Bugera

Soldano = Jet City Amps

Jet City FTW!!!

Or just go around the corner and see what Scott has lying around.

Only way is Selling, Trading or saveing for a long time....Thats how it go's for me! But it's so awesome when I do get what I'm wanting! :D

I am assuming you can afford it. Since I have both a Soldano and a Mesa specifically the SLO 100 and the Mark IIC+ I can tell you that the Mesa Mark IIC+ kicks the Soldano's ass. So go old and go Mesa.

george used a recto in the mid 90s but i cant remember which tour.

George used one of the early DRs in the 1995 "reunion" tour.

Here's a taste of some of that killer DR tone:

And the SLO he used on the WS album (his tech swears that Lynch used the SLO very lightly on that album and instead used an older Plexi for most of the work):

In this vid. you can see the SLO but far right is the purple Marshall. From what I know he did'nt own it. He rented a lot for recordings. But I think I see some kinda Roland head :confused:

I think the purple Marshall belonged to Warren Dimartini.

In a interview Lynch said the owner would never sell it to him.

Soldano is the best amp for the Soldano tone, while Mesa is the best amp for that Mesa tone.
In case of doubt, get both!

The best amp is the one that gets you to 50 posts the quickest.

That zing totally missed, he needs a pod not an amp.....

Maybe it did or maybe I just don't care! :D

That guitar tone sounds like it's been chorused. Is it possible that the purple Marshall Plexi (or SLO?) is being slaved through that Roland amp head? It looks like a Jazz Chorus 120 head.

Also that studio looks like the One on One music studio in Los Angeles.

When i first joined the forum i spent a good while researching where the perplexi ended up. Come to find out it shorted its power transformer. Aspen sold it and eventually it was parted out and sold as scrap. It does not exist anymore.

Think that Purple Marshall was Aspen Pittmans.
That's what I had always heard as well...
I am pretty sure you are right. He sold his entire amp collection to build his own tubes I believe I heard.
