That Surh Aldridge pickup is a Classic, like the Seymour Duncan JB, Dimarzio Evolution or Dimarzio Super Distortion.

Yes, I have it in two guitars and love them. I agree, the Timbrewolf while great too, is more open. It's closer to a Duncan Custom or Custom 5 and the Aldrich is closer to a Duncan JB but warmer and darker, more push in the lows and sounds more rich to me than a JB.
