The fact that its half the price isn't enough to make you keep it huh? Just curious....
If I didnt already own the Diezel it would stay. ;)

Shocked it's going back but to each their own.
Its Killer Chris! Just like we were yakking about. But it sounds just like the VH4 channel 3. And thats not a bad thing. :D Just dont want redundance or overlapping in amps.

Well then how do ppl say it sucks .... It's bullshit comments that's all go love your shit bag marshall wanna be amps. Lol

Chris you modded marshall love runs deep, you can't deny the truth.

Hey I played a used one the other day...sounded great! Better than any Recto IMO....if I could swing it i'd buy one..as a change of pace to...yup...my MARSHALL!

How many Marshall knock off can there be. This version that version in the end very little to no change

Pulled it out the box...Plugged in and it was ripping.
nice chunk. Great tone. Then I started to do a/b tests with the diezel vh4s. After about 15 passes from each amp...to me and the other 4 guys In the room. ..
archon sounded like the diezel vh4 channel 3. Cept little weaker. But damn near identical in tone when dialed in.
So it's going back. But man it's a freaking bad ass for sure

Uhhh that's a hell of a compliment to an amp you can pick up for $1300. Now I'm interested.

I had the 25w combo, but wasn't loving the open back cab. Plugged it into my 2x12 and it sounded pretty damn nice.
So, I swapped it for a 100w head. Should hopefully have it by the end of the week.

Had 4 guys over that night. 2 of them ordered the 100 watt that night.
Only thing I did was run a MXR 10 band in the loop. Was playing it thru my two Randall Lynch box 4x12's.
The Archon sounds so killer. If I didnt have the Diezel I would not hesitate getting one!

What do you mean by weaker? Weaker volume, tone?

not as much balls or umph that the diezel had. If I tried to add more depth or bass it lost the good tone. It was loud Enough just didn't seem as ballsy as the vh4
don't get me wrong. It's got awesome tone. Very very similar to the diezel channel 3.

I get that comment. Diezel has a lot of low end. First that's unuseable live mids are what cuts. You have a bassist. N 2) in studio you cut all that low end 80-120hz so again. Low end unneeded. I recorded w Herbert n had to basically kill that low end.

So unless u need a fk whack of low end in your bedroom. The archon rips your fkn face off live n studio.

Peace !

Plus the vh4 I got is a stereo head. Like 2 mini vh4s at once
make no doubt. The archon is one of the best amps I have played. I had to dial it with my ears not my eyes.
The settings I had were way different them how I set up the vh4.
