Volume jumps using my rack. Help?

I use a GSP1101 with a Velocity 300 through a Marshall 2x12 for my stage setup and I'm experiencing volume jumps when I play. If I'm recording it doesn't happen so maybe it's the power amp?

That sounds like a potentiometer that´s breaking down.

Hmm, the volume knob on the Velocity gets a bit scratchy and cuts off a bit when it's turned up to full. Is it to do with that in that case?

Sounds like it's time to replace the volume pot on the Velocity.

Yeah, that´s probably it. I suppose you could always give the pot a shot of contact cleaner, but even if it works it´s often just a very temporary solution.

Ahh, I'll give that a go then, it's been really annoying at gigs trying to adjust the volume on my midi board mid-solo!
