What Band do You Regret Not Seeing Live?

Other than bands I like that I was too young to see live, I've seen most bands / musicians I've wanted, except Led Zep (I saw Page & Plant tour).

I would have liked to see Death on the Human or Individual Thought Patterns tours.

I would have liked to see Allan Holdsworth live.

I would have liked to see early '80s Belew-era King Crimson.

I would have liked to see the 1990 SOS tour - with Sepultura, Obituary, Sadus.

I saw VH when they toured for the first album (and two other tours). I don’t remember who opened. In fact, I have no recollection of that concert whatsoever 😆. I know I was there - I used to have a ticket stub…

I saw VH open for Black Sabbath in '78 Never Say Die Tour, then saw the VH2 tour; saw Ozzy on both Blizzard and Diary tours with Rhoads.

I’m going to go with ZZ Top…

Especially before the move to digital, quantized drums and the pop BS…
Regret would mean I had the opportunity to see them, but didn't. But yeah, seeing them tour for any one of their first 4 albums would be right up their with seeing Hendrix, Zeppelin, or the Stones in their prime.

On that front I'd say Mastodon and Soundgarden top my list for shows I shoulda, woulda, coulda. Also Red Hot Chili Peppers on the tour for BSSM. Shit, and almost forgot Faith No More on the tour for Angel Dust opening for Metallica on the tour for AFJA.

Layne era Alice In Chains
Nirvana
Iron Maiden circa 2001 just after the reunion
Dilinger Escape Plan before the 2017 split

AC/DC, they never came to Hawaii ever... wish I saw Rush, sadly the last time they played in Hawaii was 1984 when I was a youngin.

Prince.

Guy I used to work with would go every time he played Atlanta, always raved about how good the show was & urged me to go to one.

Saw Gary open for Rush in 1984. I went specifically to see Gary but I did like Rush also . Gary was awesome , I saw him again in 1987
bummed i could’ve gone to that show and missed ever seeing both.

I've been pretty fortunate to see all of my favorites at one point or another. These are the biggest misses:

Pink Floyd w/Waters
Tom Petty
Talking Heads
Allan Holdsworth
Dio
Styx w/DeYoung
Twisted Sister

The one band I've never seen that I love is Burst. To be fair though, I don't think they've ever came to Cleveland. They broke up before I got a chance to see them, and their reunion stuff has all been in Europe.

Lazarus Bird is one of my all time favorite albums.

My parents let me go to concerts when I was 13 years old. I went to a lot of concerts in large (stadium) and small clubs. In the summer of 1977 Elvis was coming to the Milwaukee arena, I wanted to go but my parents would not let me. They would not tell me why I couldn't go. Yet they let me go to Pink Floyd at the Milwaukee County Stadium for their Animals tour. Oh well?

A little to young to have seen Hendrix or Cream.
My big regret was not seeing Tommy Bolin.

If I was born a bit earlier, I would have lived at the Fillmore East every weekend.

Thin Lizzy and Queen.

Had the chance with Queen on the Hot Space tour in Atlanta but by that time most of us had moved on to other things and that was a shite album and Queen badly miscalculated and was full on dance stuff.

Porcupine Tree

I actually went to a show they were supposed to do with King's X back in the day but for some reason PT wasn't there :(

Never got to see Pantera either which I would have loved
