What Band do You Regret Not Seeing Live?

I also wished I had seen Gary Moore in his 80s rock years...monster guitar player.

His 90s and thereafter blues efforts were horrific...great angry guitar playing but blues it wasn't.

I saw Walter Trout a few times at a Huntington Beach small bar and he was great...re the blues.
I really wanted to see Thin Lizzy w/ Gary Moore but didn't get the chance. Their live album was in constant rotation when they were hot.

Refused.
I have a hard time acknowledging that I can still see some of the bands on my list. What I really mean is I want to see Refused when they toured The Shape of Punk to Come.
Ohhh, At the fucking Drive-In!

Interesting album title....I wonder where they got it from.

Would have been cool to see Huey Lewis and the News in the Sports era, really cookin

I did... At P.B. Scott's Music Hall, Charlotte NC, December 2nd 1983. Sports was released 9/15/83. Capacity of that place was only a couple thousand. They had booked a bus-tour of smaller venues because of some quandary with their record-label. It was a really great show.

That is so badass, I bet it rocked. Top musicians at the top of their game!

Although it is not the same, I am seeing bands now and meeting band members that I wouldn't have been within miles of back in the day. Some of these smaller clubs have such a great atmosphere that captures the good old days.

I have seen Stephen Pearcy, Quiet Riot, Sebastian Bach, L.A. Guns, etc., etc. Within the past year or so and some of the shows were $25. Like I said, it isn't obviously the same but when you are at these shows and people are singing every word and there are old fans and new fans high fiving and having fun, that is what is about.

I regret thinking Rhoads would be around for a while. I missed out on the Ozzy show in Detroit because of it.

Yeah a guitar teacher I used to jam with (on bass - I've never had a guitar or bass lesson in my life) was a huge fan.

It was basically all he listened to. At first I thought, "WTF?", but it slowly grew on me.

Never became a fan 'though.

Speaking of jazz I saw Branford Marsalis at the Clearwater jazz fest in the mid 2000's. It was a free. Killer show. Jeff Tain Watts is among the top drummers alive though I believe he retired recently. That was one of the best shows I've seen though.

Alice In Chains. Ride ditched me for some hot chix with a bag of weed. Heartbreak, but dont blame him.

See a lot of bands but I regret not seeing Pink Floyd and George Harrison solo tours.

I missed seeing Motorhead before Lemmy passed. I had tickets to see them headline along with Megadeth, but Lemmy got sick and had to cancel that show. Still got to see Megadeth, Volbeat, and Lacuna Coil, just no Motorhead. They never made it back to my area before he died. ☹️
