daves voice is damn good in that vid ... is there more of this acoustic set ?

i would pay money to see this
Yes, there is a bootleg of this show in 1997, and another acoustic set from 2006. I have the disks around here somewhere.

I thought it was pretty cool...still prefer the original along with the band that recorded it.

I liked it  but every time I see Mustaine I can't help but think of him in the Metallica "Some Kind of Monster" DVD.

Don't understand why everyone thinks this is current..the video above was recorded in 1997, the same year Cryptic Writings came out, and the band in the video is the same lineup as on the album.

I remember that scene with Lars - but what I think of is, "Dave, you help start Metallica AND THEN you single handedly built Megadeth!" :worship: Aside from the huge $$$'s and potential payout from "Lars/James Inc."...who fucking cares???!!! :gethim:

IMHO, Megadeth is SOO MUCH more RELEVANT and musically interesting - and have been for sometime (since 1991) -  namely because of Dave's lyrics and Marty's/Glen's/Chris' playing.

I think it is great! I got to see Megadeth unplugged in Las Vegas maybe 7 years ago for free! Got hooked up with tickets, it was some kind of JVC sponsered gig. It was almost like they were playing for a dinner party, very strange but it rocked. Free food, free drinks, free Megadeth show and we got to go back and meet the band! This was at Mandalay Bay

Marty and Nick sure look different in the video.

that was awesome
Matthew Broderick rules

Great stuff only it is Al Pitrelli on the guitar

HAHAHA and CHRIS Broderick is the lead guitarist for Megadeth, MATTHEW Broderick is Ferris Bueller

  I still say Matthew Broderick rules, it's just a bit off topic

I thought that acoustic version was fun!

I have to say, even though he was a fairly capable player, I dont remember too much of anything Al Pitrell ever did with Megadeth. Without really wishing to dig up a whole new debate, Marty Friedman will always be the classic lead voice of Megadeth for me, notwithstanding the "inverted claw" approach .

I think Broderick is probably the technically best player, but both he and Friedman pretty much own Pitrelli.

All just my opinion

I'd like to see an acoustic version of in my darkest hour or a toute le monde
