I don't know about best of all time, but 2112 is definitely pretty epic. "Lessons" and "Passage to Bangkok" are two of my favourite Rush tunes. I love the sound of those Rush records from the 1970s.. Such warm, sparse/open sounds... those records sound amazing when you turn them up... no ear fatigue like you get with the brick walled productions that became so prevalent with the next generation of rock bands.

just sat down and listened to this and like every other Rush it just dosent do it for me. great musicianship obviously but the songs are just too all over the place for me and the singer is just too much.

The first solo in La Villa Strangiato is one of my favorite solos of all time. And the second solo is wicked good too.

I always thought the two solos represented right brain and left brain...the hemispheres.
