I lurked but didn't join till 2007, mainly because most of the guys still post in both places.Both forums had the same threads started by the same person.

Yeah. Same here. My post count is pretty low, but my join date is one of the earliest of anybody here. I've lurked here for years. Constantly stirring the pot, on either side, does nothing but inhibit the community integration that needs to happen if this place is to move forward.

And whats this HCer stuff? I thought cause 2.0 sux it drove a bunch of people over to RT. And most stopped posting over at HC. So who is really a "HCer"? Thought everyone here was an "RTer"

I didn't have any problem with his OP.
His 2nd post in this thread came out of nowhere though, and couldn't be construed as anything but an attack.
I haven't had any problem blending really, but every once in a while you still see somebody like that, who reminds you of Ethel at her church, getting upset about her pew filling up

I mean, WHY ELSE WOULD YOU BE ATTEMPTING TO BROWSE THE HCAF REFUGEE FORUM IN THE FIRST PLACE, SINCE THE ARRIVAL OF FORMER HCAF FOLKS HAS MADE THIS PLACE GO "TO SHIT"?!?

I'm sorry, but I simply cannot agree with your ludicrous thesis. You see, I can read. Because I can read, I am able to tell that the main Rig-Talk forum has remained remarkably on-topic (with the notable exception of a couple threads started by long time RT members) since the mass influx of new memberships here. So the only way you can conceivably support the notion that "this place has gone to shit" is by trying to argue that the very *existence* of a sub-forum that caters to former HCAF members is enough to turn this ENTIRE SITE and ALL OTHER SUB-FORUMS to "shit."

And that's just stupid on its face.

Of course, like many folks, I joined Rig-Talk YEARS ago. Granted, I've done much more lurking than posting until recently, since my primary "home" was HCAF. But check out my join date ~ I'm a long-term Rig-Talk member. So are a LOT of the people you're casually insulting with your bigotry.

Conclusion: there is a prick here, and truly you are it.

Where we have intermingled, it's been pretty cool so far and I like the faster pace. If ex-HCers, now RigTalkers want to goof off in the HC thread, more power to them. Awesome of Brad to create this for them so cut the crap with the "you moved the HC stuff, whaaaaa He did you a big favor. I have been popping over every now and then to the HC refugee camp and it is actually pretty funny.

Respect is where I draw the line on both sides. Immature shit is great, I love some of that too, as long as you don't shit on someone's porch in the process. I hate getting shit on my shoes...

It came out of nowhere? I'm pretty sure the first few posts by HC'ers were nothing but rude and personally insulting to me. I wasn't angry until a few people decided to be complete assholes, proving even further that a good portion of former HC'ers are just that, assholes.

Also, previously in this very thread, I changed a quote by Jonny Toetags that could have been interpreted as a slam on HC'ers, just to show that I do not believe all HC'ers are like this.
