I came in here with my CC ready to buy a Bogner Blanket

No Blanket problems with my 20th X And My Mesa Mk III isn't mushy/flubby or ice picky

In their band, my buddy and his guitarist both play 20th Ectasy's through Marshall 4x12's loaded with GB's. One's got the blanket over it, one cuts through like a knife. The amp's circuitry is definitely designed to sound dark, but that can be dealt with by turning knobs. Anyway, they are amazing sounding amps.
