Bogner Helios sounding pretty Marshally in this clip.......

It sure does! Depending on the 70s or 80s toggle switch position, can be really nice plexi to hot-rodded plexi to hot-rodded JCM800, then some and lots of textures in-between. Funny that the Friedman Plex can also do a fairly convincing JCM800 crunch.

Yeah the Helios definitely has a 60/40 or even 70/30 split between Bogner and modded Marshall thing going on. I have one and an XTC 101B, and while the Helios still has some of the Bogner squish and juice, it’s got a more fine-grained, clearer sounding gain voicing similar to an older Marshall. It’s a great amp.

Like a modded Marshall. It’s definitely not as raw and as VonBonfire said, not as much clang. Still sounds cool in its own right though.

The Helios is straight up 800 with some tweaks. I wish the did something more vintage with the plexi low gain mode. It's too clean.

I always thought the Helios was put out specifically to be a hot rodded Marshall?

You can get 50 or 100

Yes, but i think it is a 50 watt in the video, or not?
