Dar amps ? Can anyone reach them ?

Actually, now you've got me thinking. You are not waiting for delivery of a good you paid for, you are waiting for the return of your paid-in full property. Doesn't that technically make your situation a legitimate 'theft', in the legal sense of the word? Have you argued this point with the Police?
 
Another DAR customer here -- ordered a 100HX which I am really starting to doubt will ever come to fruition.

When Paul left the company he emailed me warning about the lead time for the HX and how there were some unforeseen difficulties with the design. That was about a year ago.

I usually give people the benefit of the doubt so I haven't completely lost hope. I'm just glad I didn't pay in full at this point.
 
I'm also a paying customer, though the hole in my pocket isn't as deep as some of you guys here.

I agree although I'm surprised it hasn't already.

A hotrod shop pulled some garbage on a family member by taking his money to do some custom work and also had one of his cars. After many months of getting jerked around fortunatlely nobody got hurt (though it could have happened), but let's just say my uncle showed up at the shop, got his car back and that business is no longer around.

I'm not advocating people resort to violence or any other extreme measures to be made whole, but there are absolutely people out there who will not put up with these type of business practices.

Hate to say it but He probably gave it to a guy who showed up at his shop ready to knock his teeth out.
 
Looks like DAR is down the same road as Tim and Faustine. Screwed allot of people. Got in way to deep investment wise and couldn't dig out. Everyone got screwed. He then tried to sell what was left. I think DAR may have done the same thing investing in the newer amp line and when it didn't bring dealer sales it was a gonner along with paying the past due bills. Took the amps and the cash and its over. I don't know for sure but it doesn't look good. A case of not knowing how to do business successfully. Jim at Scumabck did it right, Steve Henning seems to be on the right track. Fortin did it right. DAR :thumbsdown:

I feel for you guys. I really do. I would be losing sleep and would have blown a gasket. I get very angry over stuff like this. If it wasn't for the law and my family......... People should not underestimate others. We are all capable.

not saying i condone the violence either, but, IMHO, ONE Time is all it would take for one of these thieving fucks to be...ahem...187'd in their shops and cleaned out. personally, i'd never act on those revenge type urges, but i've seen the results up close of other people's rage. but, it would go viral.
and it would scare the fuck out of all the rest of the fucks that think OPM/takin the money and running/hell, not even answering emails in a timely fashion is a great idea.

i'm REALLY relieved i didnt give over the 1500 i had saved to DAR for a forza last year.....wow.
i feel for you guys that did, i really do. this shit sux.
it's frustrating, and i'm not even involved...wow.
other than adding nothing to this thread, i have nothing more to add.
 
FUCK THAT dude...vent away....if it keeps you partially on the chain and away from the rope...who cares what other "normal" people think.
"normal" ppl do unfathomable things everyday...hell, for shit that happens in traffic dude.
someone takes money out your pocket/food out you and your family's mouth....etc, etc..not to diminish it, but, we've all been there to some degree or another..think of the poor fucks in the madoff scheme?!?!?! holy hell!!!

maybe post over in the off topic section about stuff that bothers you..i think you'd be surprised at how many people that you think are "normal" actually openly talk about things like past child abuse/mental illness/PTSD/etc etc etc. me, i post on twitter, under an anonymous name, and...you know, the ONLY thing that helps is talking about it. even if it is blowing off steam in 140 characters or less!. send them a registered letter.

post away. if it keeps you from driving or flying to palo alto seeking these people out (not to sound like im talking you down), then POST IT. fuck that. you can ALWAYS make more money dude. i know it's something a lot of us obsess about, and, not to diminish or minimize what's goin on with DAR amps and thier customers, but....
sometimes you just gotta say fuck it, and let it play out.

that last bit of advice was given to me by a good friend in the music biz a lonnnnng time ago, and it helps actually. you can sit back and wait. it wont kill you. let someone else be the fall guy bro.
