He did a good job here... bruno marz kinda upped everyones game in this genre... thanks for sharing

I like it a lot. Justin is a good musician and has great vibe. But again, it's not Rig-Talk approved as A LOT of things in this genre.

Great performer, not my thing but I do respect what he does. What is my thing, is that sweet LP that greaser in the back is playing!

I like all kinds of music, but I'm having a tough time getting into that JT album. My buddy gave it to me via dropbox and it's just not getting any play-time. Justin is a hell of a vocalist but the songs are sort of, well, very bad for the most part.

I like him in his saturday night live things... not at all musically
That dance troop with beyounce thing was roll on the floor funny

This whole thread was made to troll the 80's metal guys of this forum.

(the performance was top notch, not taking that way)

And I am with Kage, this kind of uptempo R&B is nothing new to to allot of us here.

Plus the 90's already hosted Jamiraquoi (sp?)

He and his band were great on SNL a couple of weeks back. Great performance, period.

Assuiming that it was a troll post - I'll feed it :D

I don't listen to Justin Timberlake's music - it's 180 degress out of phase with my typical choices. But, I will admit that I don't immediately hate it if I happen to hear him. He appears to be an incredibly talented young man; great vocalist, decent actor, natural comedic timing, at ease in front of a crowd, etc. He also seems to know what the pop-buying masses want and caters to that successfully. Good for him. He does what he does and, buy all measures, appears to do it quite well.

We didn't have the iPod we normally use during breaks at our gig on Saturday, so we used the one our sound guy had to play tunes. A JT song popped up and almost immediately most of the women in the place were on the floor dancing. It was like a Pavlovian experiment. Maybe Justin is a hell of a lot smarter than we give him credit...

Well said Mark... I have zero hate for JT, he does what he does well, it just isnt my thing. Truth be told, I was in the process of reworking several of his tunes to play in my last coverband.

I think JT is a savvy talented dude and from what Ive been told from friends that are industry insiders, hes a cool down to earth guy. All that said, the chances of me buying an album of his and voluntarily listening to it for enjoyment are slim and none...

that was super tight! thanks for posting. my ol lady got me into him, as i am a fan of old r&b( even 70's hall and oates kills me), and i would much rather this be on the radio than dudes in tights and big hair that look more like lady gaga than rockers. that version of suit and tie he did on snl was sick!

i give him credit, while his music isn't my bag, he's creative, sings in key and isn't afraid to try to do new styles of music and lend his credibility to music in general.

iv'e heard much worse coming out of other genres lately.

Is it wrong I busted out laughing when that thug looking dude came out and did a solo?

The only negative thing I will say is that I absolutely HATE that style of vocal phrasing. It immediately turns me off.

No hate for this Justin kid though. He's doing what he's doing. Cool. Just not on my radar.

Haha, well, I suppose it depends in what you found funny?!
