I love remakes of old 80s pop songs.
Band called "me me and the gimmee gimmies" did it but punk versions.
Thus was a great cover. Well at least to me. I am old....and yes I am a dad. No shame in my game.

Video killed it for me, so I scrolled down and tried to listen to it again.
Not my kinda stuff... Sounds like brochure magazine marketing metal. I don't know what the fuck brochure magazine marketing metal is, but these are the words that came to mind when typing this response.

Jorn is a killer singer!!!! One of the best around!!! I saw him in Oslo in 2013 and he kicked ass!!! His earlier solo stuff and first two albums with Masterplan are amazing. Also his work on Ark's "Burn The Sun" and Beyond Twilight's "The Devils Hall of Fame are amazing. On that note, this covers album is not as good as the first covers album. Of course his DIO and Whitesnake cover tunes destroy!!!

one thing is certain..
something's going on.
guitar tone was fine, vocals were good for that style. but nothing great musically and boy did the video get awkward quick. the crappiness of it distracted me from anything musically redeeming.
camera work was mr rodgers-esque with zero budget lighting
more close ups cutaways slo mo and shallow depth of field imagery needed. i imagined an unpopular neighborhood kid being strong armed into the camera gig for this one, walking around eating a big mac while shooting.
lead voc guy could have been finding clues, scowled to the camera waaaaaayyyy less, had another action event to do beside marching around a mansion, like driving, breaking stuff, allowed the rest of the band to perform in the video, so i didn't have to watch him as much
and should of had a leading lady that didn't look like his teenage daughter, and one who could act, and maybe had a scene or two with the lead voc guy and her fighting in the beginning to develop the plot, and after cheat guy is done with her (btw sex scene editing was horrid), lead voc guy just missing her with cheat guy for the bust would have been a good conclusion thematically---

As has been noted, one thing for certain is that there definitely is something going on..
I liked it. He has an amazing voice but the formula and writing is always pretty much the same. Not that this is a bad thing. As for dad metal, that is a lame tag as most of what we listen to is dad metal and Reza's music could also be considered dad metal seeing as they seem like dads. In fact, it could be considered discrimination because you are saying only young hip emo looking 24 year olds can be edgy and current.
Production is fantastic but those drums.... they sounded a little like samples and I wonder if that is even a real drummer on there or someone just playing an electric kit. Guitars sound huge... for all we know, they used a Two Notes with impulses..
