Call me a fanboy if you must, but I love Keith's playing. The guy can bring it live. I actually like his albums. His live DVD is just killer. And I agree that he does have some tasty tone. I equate his to Gilmour... he may not be the flashiest player, but what he plays is just so damn sweet.

When I saw him live, he played that LP jr on several solos...I know he had hiwatt amps when I saw him....could have been other amps there as well...but the tone was so amazing....simply amazing

I've been a fan of Keith's guitar work for the last 6-7 years; he's a monster player that does holds back. Interestingly enough he did a CMT Crossroads with John Mayer (another popular musician/songwriter who let's his guitar skills take a back seat) and those guys tastefully tore it up. I come from the Satriani, Vai, VH school of playing but I do have a lot of respect for Mayer and Urban, regardless of the vehicle to which they wish to convey their guitar skills. Awesome video on a breakdown of his rig.

Awesome tone and playing here

The whole band sounds great. Keith's in real trouble of breaking the 10 year rule when it comes to his hair though.

Ah, well, it is this....

No man should wear hair that is more than 10 years younger than he is.

Nah...he's Keith Urban-that's his style.

Tell that rule to Keith Richards.
