I dont remember exactly what I tweaked but it wasnt far off from the original patch. The Symphonic patch is based off of the Stereo Flange preset,
leaving off feedback gain and modulation time. I dont normally have the SPX in my rack but when I use any of the Eventides I have, its the detune and micropitch algos as you can alter it to taste depending on how upfront you want the effect. Its actually pretty similar to the EVH detune, just tweaked slightly and more upfront. I think the SPX was pitch change C slightly tweaked. Next time I pull it out I can give you exact settings if you need it, but its not hard to dial in using slight detune. -9 and +12 mixed upfront is a great starting point.

My target chorus/flange effect is Alex Lifeson during the intro to Hemispheres.



My ear tells me that around 1.12 Hz is closest but I have nothing else to reference.

I believe he used a Boss CE-1 and an EH Electric Mistress Flanger. I am pretty familiar with Lifesons early chorus sound and pitch detune wont really get you there. I am unfortunately not familiar with the QC, but I can go thru some of my chorus presets in my units and see if theres something close. If I can come up with some settings to at least get you close I will let you know. I have a few different versions of the the Intellifex and I remember I used to cop some pretty good Lifeson chorus tones. One trick with that is obviously the gain is nowhere near say a Zakk type of gain. A full blown chorus with a ton of gain is tough because of the way the chorus modulates and sounds kinda phasey. The Pitch detune doesnt have that modulation so you can pile it on thick with gobs of gain. LOL

Sorry I couldnt be more help but like I said, I will go thru some patches and see what I can come up with
