while I understand you observation, I think most come to this conclusion ease on being marginalized and given little options. In the US, the exposure is limited products made overseas but by corporation looking to cut corners beyond labor. More often than not it’s not only labor but cheaper wood, processes and hardware. It has less to do with who’s making it and more to about who’s decide how to make it.

There are tons of domestic builders here in Japan that make far superior product but are limited to domestic sales.
