Pretty decent video posted. Kinda grainy at times, but pretty good representation.
This amp plays really nice with volume roll-off. Back off a little for Malcolm Young tones, full blast for Angus.

You can tell when he hits some pedals to get more. It's a killer, versatile amp!

Congrats on the amp! Do you have a Sovtek LPS that you can try in the phase inverter? I like the balanced JJ but in all of my amps I prefer the Sovtek in that position.

Awesome have fun with it! Dibs lol.
Some of the clips sound great.

congrats... sounds great. I like that hawkins vid.. sounds like mutt lange era DL

It does! Can't wait to plug ii into the Power Station 2 when it arrives! Should be a couple weeks.

I'll be able to get crazy with it then!

Got to play one of these through the matching 2x12 cab. Marshall did a great job with the whole setup. The amp sounds like everything you would want it to be. Tight and gainy enough for hard rock, cleans up great for clean to bluesy classic rock. Someone bought the one I was playing on the phone before I had a chance to work a deal. Seems like they're selling pretty good.
The 5 watt setting was bout as loud as I play my amps around the house. The 20 watt setting was not as loud or beefy as the Germino Masonette, but better than a 50 watter tamed by a ppimv. I dig it.

Ah...the Germino Masonette. That's one I've always wanted to try. I owned a Club 40 for a few years and loved it with pedals, but on its own it was too clean until stadium volume, but even when cranked it just wasn't juicy enough for me.

This SV20h is brighter, ganier, not as loud or meaty as the Germino. More metal panel vs plexi.

I had a club 40 2x12 combo with gbs. Treble volume, mids and presence cranked got me into Toolish zone, at very loud volumes. Masonette was sweeter, brighter and not as loud. Much more Led Zep than Tool, but took pedals well to get heavier. I actually made a couple of Masonette videos for YouTube.

The SV20H definitely has more teeth. In fact, I played it a bit last night and think I prefer un-jumpered!

More teeth, I agree. I like it a lot. I’ll probably end up with one.
On 4 holers past, I liked to run just high input, but turn the normal volume up to give the sound more body. Wonder if that works on the SV20?

Try a fulltone ocd with it. I used to use a 68 plexi in a band several years ago, and an ocd and a tubescreamer were amazing with it

I hate that pedal. Instant mud with everything I've used it with.

+1.

I have the Joyo copy. It’s proven to be a great od/dist pedal. Def no mud. Guess it depends on guitar and amp or amp settings. I seem to like the Joyo copy better than the OCD.

I think if you try to use it as an overdrive into a overdrive amp as a boost you'll get mud. But if you use it more like.a distortion pedal, into amp that's breaking up, it's pretty hard to beat for some things. I dont like using it with for instance a bogner xtc or mesa jp-2c on their over driven channels, but with a super lead on 2-3 it kicks ass. Also.. I've only ever used the early version 3 and 4, it sure how the newer ones are. Friend bought a 1.7 and couldn't send it back fast enough but loves mine.

Played the 20w Marshall Plexi -- really great. So tempting.

Clearly an amp Marshall should have been making for the last 20 years.

Did you get to crank it? That's when the magic happens! And, I have a PS-2 on my doorstep when I get home!

I was disappointed in both versions. I’ll let you be the judge though.

Let me guess, thin and small sounding? small output transformer?

I’m speaking of the PS
