Selling gear you may not want to sell?

I had to sell my Monomyth modded Superlead which was due to my car breaking down. My wife tried to help so I wouldn't have to but soon it was pretty obvious that I needed to sell an amp so I put both of my amps for sell and kept the one that didn't sell. As soon as I got everything straightened out I got a JJ jr. as a replacement but it wasn't the same. If you don't have to sell it dont. Yeah it's only gear but for me the happier a piece of gear has made me the regret is just as equal if not worse. I've sold plenty of pieces that I've missed but when it hurts to get rid you are going to get constant reminders that you should have kept it.

I just sold off $3000 of gear last few months.
Not that I didn’t want it. But I don’t need 14 guitars and 8 amps.
I liked them. Guess I’m changing gears. Wanna eventually get down to 1 amp. 1 guitar. ;)
Hard letting the kids go. But for real I barely play anymore.

I’d love to get down to a few guitars and a few amps, but I find it’s hard to let go of amps I’ve owned close to 30 years. Cabinets too... there are some things I haven’t used in years that I can’t seem to let go of. :aww:

Yeah...played this morning for a couple hours...I dig it so much. I even went direct with it preamp out into logic and used different IR's/settings and it still sounded Excellent. Having a rough time. Got an offer from someone who would like to get it, but I'm so not wanting to get rid of it yet. SHIT!!!

If you love it and absolutely don't have to sell it? I certainly wouldn't. No sense regretting moving something you love and use regularly.
