I would like to score one of the ORIGINAL Dean Explorers.
I love all guitars and dealing with Dean himself directly was awesome!
He hooked me up and my kid kid loves the Baby ML. Since I am limited on funds these days and have to be 'choosey' on what guitars are in the Stable....
yes....its a Jackson with some wild graphics!

Call me a 80's metal head that just cant let go.

Rock on!!

i would like to have a water v, but that's about it. kinda gassing for a buddy blaze ml though. does anyone know if they are made in the usa or imported? it looks like an ml raped a nightswan.
The Blaze ML that I seen with the graphics and come with the COA signed by Buddy are made in Korea.
I would love to snag one of them myself.

I'm digging the new USA Deceiver series in mahogany. Specs are pretty sweet and for $1250 w/OHSC it may be worth a try.

I weep for all of the trees that had to die to go into those horrific headstocks
+100000

I owned an ML for about a week back in the 90's. Biggest mistake ever

Schenker could make any guitar sing. Those Dean V's of his are awful looking compared to his old Gibsons IMO. The damn headstock is half the size of the body.

:dunno: :dunno: :loco:

I love my Usa Washburns and Deans!

I have an 81 Dean ML in blue burst and the 2005 Usa Dean from hell....awesome stuff for me anyways, but I still prefer the Washburns! Different strokes for different folks I guess, and they are as ugly as I am! hahaha

I used to have a V - whatever its called. It was a VERY well built guitar.

the other guitar player in my old band bought a black gold V and i was really surprised how nice it was, if i was looking for a guitar in the 5-600 dollar range i think dean would be the first on my list after playing that thing

I don't know about the Dean MLs but one of the best necks I've ever played on was on a Washburn 333 ML. The headstocks are absolutely ridiculous but it plays unbelievably  Still have it ;)

dude that dimebolt at the top looks sweet i'd love to have one of those!

Ya, sorry guys... They just remind of a wanna-be-metal-god kid's guitar

Dem's da breaks :aww:

V.

I had a Dean USA Hardtail and it was a very high quality, nice sounding guitar. Just as nice as any PRS I've had. Wouldn't mind owning another Dean some day.

:)

Any of you guys ever play a Dean Vendetta?

It's definitely the best bang-for-the-buck guitar Dean makes. Neck-through, 25.5" scale, 24 frets, easy to play.

I am uncontrolably drawn to the cheese, Ive tried to end it but to no avail. I have a Dean Cory Beaulieu signature model and I still love it. I switched out the pickups for some duncans and a new pot but aside from that Its really lightweight which I like and it plays fast as shit and very comfortable........and like I said I love how it looks and I know its cheesy but whatever.

I have heard that Dean endoursees are forced to only use Dean gutiars said:
This is the nature of an endorsement deal, pretty much ANY endorsement deal.

If deans didnt have that aweful headstock i might actually pick one up. I think they can make some beautiful guitars but i just cant mesh with their headstocks.

That is sort of the point. Because he IS Schenker, and chooses to use them, he must actually like them. I would think anyway. I played a Dean Schenker V at NAMM and thought it played nice. I hate trying to sit down and play a V though, not that one is supposed be seated when playing aV. ;)

I kinda like them.

I have a Washburn Dime 333. Excellent playing and sounding guitar, but I just don't feel like the shape or the look of the guitar fits me or my style. I actually think most people look kinda silly holding that shape guitar except for Dime or someone who looks very metal.
I can't say I've ever lusted for a Dean.

used to be a fan, thought dimebag looked cool rocking one, he made it work. don't know how a mortal would look on stage at his local though

just had a look through the dean website though and was kind of shocked to find 29 variations on the "dimebag" guitars and that's not even including the ML's..

just seems to me to be cashing in on a dead guys name, most of them are just different paint jobs, and i'm pretty sure there wasn't that many before dimebag passed. So now they're just taking the shape and slapping a paintjob on it and calling it a "dime-whatever" or a razorback?

hope his family are getting royalties
