I believe this album's tone was Tony using a 2554 through a 4x12.

What can we expect from the new Sabbath album, Dehumanizer?

Iommi:
“It's a cross between the first album and Heaven And Hell. It's got more guts than a lot of our recent stuff had. I really felt I lost it for the last few years as we went into a slightly different field. But having Geezer and Ronnie back has brought it all back again. It feels good.”

What are you recording with now?

Iommi:
“A small Marshall – a little 50-watt combo Jubilee series pumped through a 4x12 cabinet. It sounds great.”

And what guitar are you using?

Iommi: “The Birch SG.”

Mine sounds great through a 4x12, however I detest it through just the V30 combo speaker. Boxy as hell.
It feels like a total different amp through a big cab pushing air and it's as LOUD as all hell too for a 50W when it gets cranked up.
Still, I have a love/hate relationship with it. It does have a very particular sound, very stiff and loud and brash at times. It has some weird freq's that it accentuates or something. It can be grating. Sometimes I like that tone, but most times I've plugged into it I've almost immediately thought 'nope, hate it' and plugged into something else. I find it polarising and not very versatile. For 'that' classic Marshall sound the JMP50 destroys it, and it does the roll down for cleans thing way better than the Jube ever can.

As to the links between a Jube and a Wizard often talked about, I have a 2017 MCII that is my number one amp. It always sounds amazing and just sounds right. The opposite experience of the Jube for me. I cannot hear any similarities.
TBH when I first got the MCII I felt it sounded closer to my IIC+ tone than the Jubilee. I don't understand how that's possible, but I do recall being surprised after expecting it to sound more like the Jube than a IIC+. Maybe it's just the way I dial them in and was more accustomed to the IIC+ tone as my base?
