Was definitely not trying to make any intentional distinction between Vs. I had no idea Flying V and King V was diff lmao. I just want a fucking V. I almost scored an insane deal on the the Schecter V-1 and Epi Prophecy, but I didn't want to pony up the extra cash the seller was asking for.

Very lightweight, easy playability, with a good tone. The 2nd guitarist in my group has one he modded with a bevel underneath where your arm goes and had routed for a CC style pickup. It's a great sounding axe that is easy on the back.

Saw a blue one pop up earlier that looked kinda nice. Didn't buy it though, but I did manage to pull the trigger on a V that should be here early next week. I'll update the thread when I get it.

I got something that I didn't even know existed and I got it from a feller RTer, but we found each other on FB. I'll post as soon as I get it, but for now...surprise? Idk why I'm being coy lol.

Is it one of the blue or purple Epi V's that Zzounds was carrying a few years ago? Those were pretty sick finishes but the ebony, stainless frets, and pickups in the Futura might be worth the wait. I just wish that neck profile had a little more beef. I'd like to at least lay hands on one but it seems like they will be unobtainium and then expensive on the used market.

I considered this, but don't love Maui Blue. It looks kinda cheap? Idk.
There's an Olive Drab Epi on reverb for like 525 that almost made its way to my cart too, but I held off on that too.

You're welcome. They look cool as heck but the core features of the Futura series is probably the cheaper option unless you plan on replacing the pickups and guts anyways.
