Not making it to NAMM this year. I am trying to finish up a deal, where I am buying out the owner of the guitar shop I've been working for, and we're aiming for the beginning of the year. Next year I will likely make it.

Rock Star & How You Remind Me are good solid pop/rock songs. Their song Photograph is pretty good. That's it, and none of those songs have any guitar riffs that I wanna play or listen to.

They are somewhat filling a void that is out there for accessible rock music I guess, but I just have no interest in them.

It seems that they are another formulated modern rock band. Their songs are so cliche , its like they purposely write songs trying to seem badass and dangerous but I see through it. Actually, I don't like any of the bands in that genre, where they all sound the same. Just very generic , as if an a&r guy pieced it together. There is definatly a record exec out there paying to keep nickel back songs in rotation on the radio.

Same here, but I dislike them because they represent everything I dislike about the music industry in the past 10-15 years. I do not like a lot of the bands that are played on the radio these days. I have not listened to FM radio in about 15 years. I like all kinds of music and while Nickelback are talented for sure, I just do not like their style of music. There appears to be something missing in their music and in today's popular music and maybe it is originality? Kudos to them though for living their dream and doing what they love.

I dont know about that, besides Gary Moore, Michael Schenker is my other favorite Guitar player. Its sad that I can mention him and Uli Roth to young Germans ( >25 or so) and they have no idea what Im talking about...

Im thinking that you need to relax and get over the whole style and stereotyping thing. It goes against the whole open minded educated thing that you somehow think that you have over others..
