While not the same style of blues playing, I'd rather hear Derek Trucks any day of the week.

Most retards use criteria for a " Great Player' of one or more of the following:
Virtuoso
Breaking new ground technically, tonally, musically
Mastery of a or creator certain Idiom
Unique stylist with great tones touch, phrasing
Best or near the top in many listener's opinions of a certain style, Jazz, Classical, Country etc.
Unique and excellent " compositional" guitarists, who " anchor' a great band.
Trailblazers of a whole new style or type of guitar, music etc.
So if you honestly think JM meets any of these or similar criteria, that's fine you're a retard also .
If you don't think so maybe you're like some others who don't think he's great.
I haven't heard him much so I don't know for myself...............................good thread for controversy, though.
