I've been wanting to try a RC Booster ..... and I should have done a version of the Badass a long time ago .... I've seen a few guys mention that one ...

Miss the RC Booster, and the MXR Super Badass Distortion was killer. Held it's own with the Friedman BE OD, with more mids.

Version 1.3 is the one I like. Using it to boost an eq in a frown in front of a Marshall especially JCM800 for epic metal tones. But yeah they are pretty specific for me and other versions didn't work as well. I now jave a cheap clone that is the same pedal

I don't have a Tubescreamer either. I like the OCD, but I don't use it much. I fell in love with the EP preamp style for a boost, and that's what I use mostly. I use the MXR Booster Mini mostly, and I just got EP Bias pedal from Griffin that is sweet. Everything else is for bass.
