Axe FX II. Wanted something for low volumes and headphones. Diezel sounds just as good at low volumes (actually sounds better IMHO) and into headphones, the Axe sounded no better than my PodXT.

If you can't sound good with Splawn, perhaps you should look into drum lessons...![]()

What is your reason for not liking Big Muffs? I was thinking this was a good choice for a nice fuzz pedal and planned on getting one some day. What setup did you use it with?some dude":11mmbpae said:EH Big Muff. I was a Pumpkins fan growing up and I probably bought and sold 7 or 8 of them before I finally figured out that they just weren't for me.
Stratocaster (S/S/S). Lots of dudes make Strats sound awesome. Turns out I'm one of those dudes who makes them sound like shit.
Boss Metal Core. For awhile I was playing through Orange heads and was really jonesing for some high gain action. I knew the Metal Zone sucked and thought this would be an improvement. It wasn't.
Orange Rockerverb 50. After the Metal Core incident I decided that a pedal wasn't going to cut it and wanted another high gain amp. I was digging Orange at the time and bought an RV50 without trying it first. Big mistake. Probably the worst sounding amp I've ever used.
