Axe FX II. Wanted something for low volumes and headphones. Diezel sounds just as good at low volumes (actually sounds better IMHO) and into headphones, the Axe sounded no better than my PodXT.

A Fender hot rod deluxe is the biggest piece of shit I have ever bought

+1 agree and I did the same.

Power scaling as a mod to an amp. The amp should be built with it, and even then I've hated it most of the time. Tried like five iterations. But I'm glad I tried a sixth - the AFD100 is a good one. And since I went there, the Silver Jube made me wonder wtf.

I think the presence taper is different between ch 2&3 on the older 3 channels where it seems the same on the reborns. Other than that, I thought they were very similar.

Prior to the Reborn each channel only had a single presence pot, with channel 2's taper being optimized for vintage/raw and channel 3's for modern.

With the Reborns Mesa started using a dual stacked presence pots, so channels 2/3 now use one pot taper for vintage/raw then switch to the other for modern.

There's quite a few I could list.... off the top of my head are mostly pedals and amps since I've had good luck with guitars

Voodoo V-Plex
Diezel Herbert
Fuchs Frost
Splawn Pro Mod
Mesa Mark IV
Eganter Mod 50
Fetto pedal
Klon pedal
Suhr Riot
To a degree the AxeFX 2

KLON.

It's ok, but definitely nothing special. At least I sold it for what I paid.

I got two:

Marshall Mode Four... had to use a boost to tighten in up with a Boss NS2 to calm the noise down and a MXR 10 band EQ as well.
Mesa 3 channel Dual Recto... it was ok in the beginning until I got my 2 channel Triple... The Triple just stomped it dead IMO!

Long time ago i bought a dan electro black coffee distortion pedal. Words cant describe how bad this little black cockroach sounded. I also had a 84 marshall 100 watt jcm 2203 head that sucked. I remember thinking everybody plays these things they have to be good. But the biggest scam I ever fell for was that tony burnett killer guitar lesson dvd it was bad really bad.

The Randall Warhead 1st edition ... not the X2 there were 2 editions of the 1st warheads ... I didnt know about it when I bought it . just Dead sounding compared to the second edition . Boost pedals didnt help either . Thank goodness someone accross the country bought from me on ebay for what I paid for it !

All 3 Bare Knuckle pickups I've tried. Overpriced and overhyped.
Went back to Duncan and Dimarzio and they kick the shit out of the BK's IMO.

EH Big Muff. I was a Pumpkins fan growing up and I probably bought and sold 7 or 8 of them before I finally figured out that they just weren't for me.

Stratocaster (S/S/S). Lots of dudes make Strats sound awesome. Turns out I'm one of those dudes who makes them sound like shit.

Boss Metal Core. For awhile I was playing through Orange heads and was really jonesing for some high gain action. I knew the Metal Zone sucked and thought this would be an improvement. It wasn't.

Orange Rockerverb 50. After the Metal Core incident I decided that a pedal wasn't going to cut it and wanted another high gain amp. I was digging Orange at the time and bought an RV50 without trying it first. Big mistake. Probably the worst sounding amp I've ever used.
What is your reason for not liking Big Muffs? I was thinking this was a good choice for a nice fuzz pedal and planned on getting one some day. What setup did you use it with?
