PRS players, owners, etc. let’s see pics!

I watched the Neural DSP Nolly vid yesterday. He was playing a PRS modern eagle and a custom 24. He got some great tones out of them. I know the Modern Eagle he was playing has the new BKP True Grit pickups in it.

So, I decided to go by a friends house who is a major PRS collector/player. I thought for sure he would have a Modern Eagle, but sadly, he didn’t. But, he did have a bunch of newer Custom 24s. We plugged some I to the Friedman’s he owns and I have to say, they sounded and played epic. I have never been much of a PrS guy, but these were great.


PRS has upped their game. One of them Had a raw rosewood neck and it rocked very hard. A couple even had ebony fretboards. The older PRS’s I’ve played or owned were nowhere near as good as the 2018 and up Custom 24s I played today. Of course, now I want a Bitchin new PRS.

What do you guys think about the newer PRS models?

reviving an old thread. I am gasing over a Modern Eagke ii for the same reason here, Nolly archetype breakdown video. What do you think anout the PRS guitars with rosewood neck? I am planning to put that guitar in D standard / Drop C for hard rock / metal applications. I have another contestant which is a regular McCarty with stoptail bridge which I played in a şocal store which sounds and feels very good. ME is about 15% more expensive

I'm sure the rosewood neck is fine. I have a Strat with a rosewood neck and it feels great but I couldn't tell you that it sounds any different from any other Strat.

I do like PRS guitars for high gain. The Dragon I and HFS pickups do really well.

2 great colors as well. I love the 90s PRS colors.

Here are mine. 2015 Custom 24 and 2018 McCarty. The old SC-250 was pretty badass but I had to sacrifice it last year.

Enjoy them in good health! I afraif the low end being too boomy with the full rosewood neck for fast riffage. 57/08 pickups would be better fit then 58/15 LT pickups for my intentions, I think

I’m a huge fan of the 594’s. Not everyone loves the low output pickups, but I think it nails the vintage LP tones. They just sing
