Look, PWE makes a great amp, but it sounds less like a Hot Rodded Marshall to my ears. It sounds closer to SLO/Mesa. That is not a bad thing. The voicing is like a Super Bass on steroids. The clean channel can either be a Fender clean channel or Marshall clean depending on how you order it. It is a great amp, but not what I was looking for.
The Splawn is like a Super Lead/JMP/JCM 800 on steroids. It gets all the classic rock "kerrang" tone that Marshall amps are known for, plus plenty of gain if you need it, a clean channel that sounds a lot like early Hendrix. It has a flexible loop, three button foot switch. But, yes, it is a loud amp. It is a gigging amp.
No offence to PWE, but the Splawn stays together at gigging volume, the PWE gets a little too loose for my taste at the same volume.
This is a clip of the base tone I was looking for:
Guess which amp had it for me...
No offense but the PWE is voiced for V30's period. The H75's are great speakers but not right for this amp if you want loud and tight. Maybe they work well with the Splawn, if so, that's great!

Splawn cleans are only passable, PWE's are really nice, Splawn efx loop eh so so, PWE great loop, Splawns sound best at ear splitting volumes, PWE has a great master.
