The thing with all of this is that if someone told Fender they could push all Strat copies out of the EU market why wouldn’t they try it? Not sure if their German court decision will hold water if challenged in Germany or elsewhere, but for a relatively low stakes gambit (default judgment against a no-show defendant) they’d be stupid not to try it. Plus the shareholders are not going to care what a section of “the community” thinks. Sure there’s going to be players who refuse to buy Fender (new) going forward (not such a big deal, the same guys own Reverb), but a whole bunch won’t care and new EU-based players won’t know any different - they’ll only know S-shapes to be Fenders.
