Personal favorite, but Kerry King has always been my personal example. JCM 800 with a boost pedal (has his own sig now but it’s a JCM 800).

Nobody sounds more evil and heavy than Slayer to me, so KK’s approach has always informed how I do things.

This is my absolute favorite JCM800 tone.



Someone on here once said he knows the guitarist and the only boost was an MXR 10 band in the loop (but also EMGs).

I remember posts on Harmony Central where Tempesta was talking about having Roccaforte modding the old JCM800 he used.

Not sure what the other guy used, but could have been a 2000. These types of tones are why I am considering picking up a DSL100HR.
