What is your gigging amp?

I remember what it was in 1976. I had 100 W Marshall Super Tremelo head, and four 4 x 12 Marshall cabinets.
What I was thinking, I couldn’t tell you. Overkill does not describe it.😂

It's a scourge IMO.

I looked into Vegas recently cause I was told there is decent blues scene there and a friend of mine was traveling there frequently for gigs. There seems like there are a few venues for blues that are bolstered by casino gigs but once I looked into the corporate side of things it didn't seem like my cup of tea at all. Dress codes and other retarded stuff is a turn off to me.
Las Vegas is the fakist place I have ever experienced. I lived in Orlando many times. Disney is a more real experience. I lived in Vegas twice less than a year.

I think the entertainment industry changed everywhere after covid. Things definitely have slowed down. 2008 was the other big shift. I was mostly out of it before that.

Thanks for the input Stephen, it's more helpful than you might imagine. Pretty much the only time I ever went to Orlando in a dozen years living in FL was for Disney gigs. I hate that whole area of the state. Pretty much the worst of Florida collated into a single city.

I was living in Altamonte Springs last year for awhile.
I was surprised to see Church Street was boarded up after covid.
I lived in Orlando and Tampa on and off since the late 80's.

We are getting way off topic. Back to the amps.

I was using the Sig X and Mark IV before the Univalve.
Before that I was using a Triple Rectifier G.

I think I am going to cycle through the THD amps next.

I don’t gig. But I did for years.

If I needed to gig again today, I’d probably buy and mod an ivory 5150 III 100W to have a global resonance control and probably install my Radiotron excursion design in it as well.

If we’re talking anything downtuned, Abaddon gets the choice.

I wouldn’t use my 5150 II. I fucking hate the dodgy pedal DIN connection and never got around to modding it to something better and more reliable.

I haven’t gigged for years, but when I did (for all of 3 years…😀) I waffled between a half stack with an H&K Switchblade, a rack rig with an Eleven Rack and a Mesa Simul 2:90 and a half stack with a Mesa Dual Rec Roadster. I felt like my best tones were with the H&K. Effects were built in and it was relatively simple. And stupid loud. The most satisfying was the rack rig with the 11R because I spent a shit ton of time building it and it was fun mastering the pedalboard. I love the idea of the Dual Rec Roadster, but fuck me if I can get tones out of it I like 🤷

An early Mesa Stiletto Deuce and a Mesa Mark V in stereo through full stacks.

I gigged back in the day with a Tech 21 PSA-1 rackmount and a Mosvalve-mv962 into a Marshall 4x12. It was so heavy sounding and killed. I always got compliments and people thought I had a Recto.
