But none of that would have happened IF it weren't for Yngwie. There is a reason this exists. ( love the black guy in the back thinking WTF is this shit lol) Also, he is nowhere as clean as YJM and his tone is shit. So yeah, there is that too. As much as we all love Becker, Yngwie is the king when it comes to the shred as we know it. ( nod to Blackmore and Uli for the classical feels). EVH and Yngwie just moved the needle and progress in guitar to a whole new level when they hit the scene. don't come at me with the Randy Rhoads shit either. As brilliant and amazing as Randy was, he was influenced by Ed and Ed's tapping. Steal away the night riff? It vibes like I'm on Fire ( the middle riff before the solo).
