So first 4x20 watts=100 watts when it actually equals 80 watts..... Makes perfect fucking sense of course.

Only a dumbfuck thinks speaker ratings ( or amp ratings for that matter) are magical.

Only dumbfucks keep going on as if 25 watts is actually 20 even when multiple people who would know, including Celestion reps have said they are 25 watt speakers.

Not to mention the fact that you don't even need to be a high gain guy to understand that guitar players since the 60s have used lower wattage speakers with their 100 watt Marshalls ( you'd know this if you were actually a guitarist). Hmm, wonder why ? I'd tell you but I'd rather see you squirm and make a bigger dumbass out of yourself.

all the maths aside .... I always called it " Math " the manufacturer suggests you use the cab they built to go with it ... kind of a no brainer

and in case no one knows ..... a wattage rating of an amp is the rating for " CLEAN POWER " dimed

if you're running her hot ..... you can hit 150 watts of output .... ( that's dimed of course )

so what do you do there ? with your 100 watt cab ?? how the maths work there ?

This just further supports my argument..... Output from a 100 watt amp can and will push more than 100 watts when dimed and actually hit 100 Watts of clean power not even being fully open..... So yeah you can have a 100 watt amp push well over intended wattage when really pushed.


The cab doesn't output anything.... And as said it can't just magically have more power handling or somehow magically safely power more than what its rated for. That simply defies logic, reason and well physics and respectfully while some may be comfortable with the risk I rather use the proper handling power to take care of my amps.
