Cabinet for EVH 5150 III Stealth 100W

ala peanut butter sandwiches ..... seems to be working for everyone thats bought one

you keep missing the point ..... the cab can handle way more than it's clean power rating .... that's why the manufacturer isn't worried .... or dealing with thousands of recalls .....

and who ever said the cab was putting out any power ?? I've built several amps ..... including some 100 watters ...... I kind of get how things work

you refuse to look beyond the logic of 4 x 20 ........ so kind of a moot point to go further with this .... no ??
I guess you could say just coming from a conservative side having had some amps get fucked up when I was younger pushing them harder than I should have.....

I'm just careful with my gear, and I get what Hatter is saying but yeah for me I dont feel comfortable doing this. Again this works for you, him, Smash and others great with no problems so what can I say. Again nothing bad to say about EVH stuff either and I think it's great and built well too and have said before it's a great and excellent product for players IMO. Eddie knew what he was doing.

After how many pages of 80 watt basic maths blah blah blah you're going to blow up your amp...
Nice backpedal; not!

Imagine thinking you know better than the manufacturer who made the rig when your practical experience is imagine dragons through a Roland cube at a pizza joint for 3 of her friends.
Next thing you know she'll be going on about knowing how to prepare beef wellington better than Gordon Ramsay because she defrosts the pepperoni at a random pizza place.

Hey, Chef Kid - when did you graduate culinary school? The title “Chef” implies training. Are you a “chef” or a pizza cook? You wouldn’t want people to accuse you of stolen valor, food edition, right?

I can't really be mad at her...not while she is still feeding us comedy gold.

Truth is, my position has reversed after weighing the cost/vs benefit of damaging my transistor when a speaker blows

Here’s a photo of Eddie Van Halen EVH Steath 5150 III from the 2015 tour look at where the volume is set it’s under half way

Non master volume amps like Eddie marshall plexi he had to crank that amp and use a variac to get the sound he wanted on master volume amps like Eddie EVH 5150 III amp there no need to have the volume on ten

Cranking amps is not something high gain guys do. It is loose butthole. The whole cranking amps comes from people with low gain amps to "give up the goods"

That little colloquialism that TGP forumites use makes me throw up in my mouth a bit to repeat.

It is why you can tell where The~fuckwad gets his "information"

The fact that he spouts that nonsense here, especially when speaking of a high gain amp tells you he doesn't understand high gain and begs the question why he spammed this post with his parroted bullshit instead of letting people that play high gain answer the question so that we do not spread ignorance

Look at how high his gain is set on the red channel.... that is freaking nuts.

Dude. Shut the fuck up already. These fucking guys have been playing all this shit loud as fuck since before you were grooving to Boyz 2 Men in grade school. Fuck.
Fucking blows my mind how he can just keep going, even after everything was said. Unreal

Yes yes I'ma do that vs using common sense and simply using a cab with enough or more than enough power handling at a minimum......

Makes so much sense
so effectively you know more about cabs/heads/wattage/voltage than say the entire Fender Engineering team including James Brown & Howard Kaplan?
