Thanks so much! I agree that they got it right with this. I love a lot of the new Marshalls but if you are looking for a GREAT sounding Old school Marshall sound this is the one IMHO.

I liked your first clip the most. I didn't think was remotely overly bright.
LOL!! The amp can be bright if you set it up with the presence and treble up high but some people had mentioned that it was bright no matter how you set it which Ive found to be false. I guess id have to know what speakers they were using which can most definitely brighten up the amp. Who knows hahaha! This is why I always tell people that they need to try stuff for themselves

They probably could have sold a ton more amps if they didn't market it as a YJM Sig amp, couldve probably sold a bunch just on the concept that its a 1959 w/ power scaling.
I hear what you are saying but they would only be losing out, the only mark stating Yngwie was involved are 3 very small letters "YJM", many like the 308 as a boost that have posted great clips using it.
This amp is going for HUNDREDS less than simular amps and sounds as good or better
What I like about this amp is that even though many people were able to get a great sound out of a Marshall using the DOD, I was one of the few who always had a hard time nailing that type of sound. Marshall pretty much made this a plug an play amp that sound amazing right out of teh box and it wont take your ears off unless you want it to

This is what they ALL should sound like out of box, and then people could change whatever they didn't like by adding pedals or whatever. THAT and a LP is the ultimate rock/metal tone to me.

I thinkyou hit the Nail on the head with this. I to had the same preconceived notions when I heard about this amp but it proved me wrong BIGTIME. If you are a fan of the old school Marshalls this is that sound IMHO and you can get it right out of the box.
The amp takes to pedals like a champ and Ive also daisychained the built in DOD with a regular clean boost and it actually worked hahahaha! The gate on this this is also amazing and the verb is teh icing on the cake although I don't think that they needed it in this amp but it work!
I dusted off my LP last night and plugged straight in and it blew my doors off. !! All the best and Thanks!

..i have to say when i seen the title i had a preconcived,idea about how a yjm was going to sound
but i was definatly wrong..that amp kills both in the bright and the dark (dark being my favorite)..i would not hesitate to grab one if i was looking for a great sounding amp
