Pretty stoked with gear right now....always looking for more though. Kinda want a KxK again, and a certain Jazzmaster is calling my name. See what happens with the rest of the year. Wouldn't mind scoring another Recto for jams.

So, how does that GSP1101 stack up against the Fractal?? I know the Fractal is WAAAAY more powerful in terms of effects and modeling, but can the Digitech even hold it's own, or does the Fractal just completely blow it away?? I've been looking at the 1101 for an easy way to 4CM with one of my single-channel Marshalls. I used to have a Fractal Ultra, and it was very cool, but just way more than I need for that purpose. Thanks!

Honestly, it's no contest man. I got the AxeII and gave away the 1101 to a friend so he could record with it. Was serviceable at the time, but there's just no way for it to compete.

The FX are ok and if you just wanted a few in 4 CM it'd prob do you ok for delays/choruses, but if you need more I'd spend a little more. The product support is non existent even though they still sell it; basically the only reason I got it was because I have a friend that works for Digitech and he flipped me that and the C2 for $100. If I'd paid full price or any more than I did it'd have been returned immediately.

Yeah, I figured as much. The Fractal is such an amazing unit. I just wish there were some other, less expensive, rack effects options out there. Aside from a Gmajor or some of the Rocktron stuff, there just aren't very many options. Everything is floor-based. I've never been a Digitech fan at all, but that unit looked promising when it came out.

I spent a solid year here on the forum researching cabinets. Had a friend on here at the time do a blind recording test with all of his cabinets. Splawn came out on top. These cabinets slay. Left is loaded with Reaper 50's X V30's, right is loaded with V30's X Splawn SB's.

Sweet. I've modded my amp as well. It's kept off quite a few other GAS purchases - it definitely makes it fun to play when you're completely content with the tone that you have

I still want to build a marshall style amplifier. Have a schematic I've created for a heat thrower for years, just Uni getting in the way with time and money.

Nice cabinets too - are they all loaded with the same combinations?
