Those Science Amps just look amazing! I want a Decolonizer something fierce.

I've had a lot of amps over the years and Alex is the first guy to make an amp that I really like for everything. I can record indie rock stuff one day and play a show with my grind band the next and it excels in both cases. The Decolonizer is killer and doesn't have any extra unnecessary distractions. Bright switch on the clean channel makes the shared EQ work perfectly and the OD channel voicing is a pleasant mix of modern gain with the rawness of a vintage Marshall. A lot of other builders are trying to put recorded Marshall tone on stage and I think the Science amps sound more like a real hairy vintage amp. Not overly polished.

The only other amps I like as much are Splawns because they are equally versatile.

"75" 100 watt super lead 6550's. The other, one of the first reissues serial# W 100watt super lead El34's. Both modded by a friend of mine 24 years ago from San Fran area, MV, gain stage and tube buffered effects loop. Gigging work horses to this day...

Sweet. I've modded my amp as well. It's kept off quite a few other GAS purchases - it definitely makes it fun to play when you're completely content with the tone that you have

I still want to build a marshall style amplifier. Have a schematic I've created for a heat thrower for years, just Uni getting in the way with time and money.

Nice cabinets too - are they all loaded with the same combinations?

I just got into a new house so my GAS purchases have been shut down for the moment. The Marshalls have G12-75's and the Bogner vintage 30's.

Not my main rig but a new rig I'm working on. Just got the Fractal FX8 last night. Gonna give her a spin this weekend. Eventually hope to replace the G-System in my main rig with the FX8.

How do you like the FX8?

Love it so far. Very transparent. No tone suck in 4 cable setup. The fx and drives sound incredible as expected just like my Axe-Fx. The routing options are great and the editor for the computer make it a breeze to make and edit presets. My only complaint so far and hopefully it can be addressed in a firmware update is the ability to completely customize the button layout.

Guiterrez custom/boss ns-2/DAR FBM/ISP SL sub/Cameron 4x12 with h30s. Lots of other heads and cabs, but that's the rig that gets the most play.

I agree. Not my collection just my tentative live-rig for this summer, minus the pic of my effects rack.
