The amp first came out the first few month of 2008. Mine is #14. I did the updates in 2010... You would need to ask Fryette if your amp could get updates. I have no idea when the # changed over. I believe it might only be for the early ones.

holy cow this amp is so awesome. someone said something about sterile above and I couldn't disagree more. yes, they are very tight and articulate but I am not hearing anything close to sterile at all. the boost on the clean channel is a really great sound - very powerful.

right now it has KT88s. I plan to keep them for a while since it sounds so good but maybe put in 6550s down the road. my viper and mako have 6550s and I pretty much think they are my favorite type of tubes.


what preamp tubes do you guys like the best for these amps?

Sterile is nuts.. My Mark V is tighter than my D120 but in a crusty compressed way. The D has more bloom with a silkier top end and is more dynamic, less compressed. The extra dynamics don't come thru to much on a recording because of the compression needed to make a recording work, but you can really tell in the room and when you're playing the amp.

A long plate of anykind seems to work well in PI spots. I have a EI ECC83 in the PI, and all 80's era Chinese 12AX7's in the other spots.

In my Deliverance I use Ruby Chinese in every spot but V1. I use old tubes in V1. I tried different tubes in the other spots, the Rubys ended up the best.

I have a pittbull 50cl with geq set to arrive monday!! Really looking forward to joining the fryette camp. Been a modded marshall guy and pretty much owned every boutique amp out there...no longer can afford those type amps and i kno there are amps that deliver for much less... hoping the 50cl is one of them and that i dig it.

Had a Sig X, loved the tones. Way too freaking loud though. On 2 it was blowing my windows out.

hmmm I don't find it that loud. my fuchs viper and mako dorado both have four 6550s and the sig x only has two KT88s so I guess I'm used to loud amps. each channel can be run at 40 watts too, plus it has great master volumes.

Fryette has gone beyond my expectations more than once to help me. If someone feels the Sig X is too loud.... I would stay away from the Deliverance 120.... It's capable of shaking stuff off the wall....literally.

Truth. I got a d60 after playing a 120 for a week. It was as loud as my old 2203 which was obscenely loud. That d60 has outlasted several amps now and sounds killer every time. Still loud as fuck.

My plan is to save up a bit and sell/trade my mint pittbull 50cl for a sig x. Love my 50cl....but i think the sig x would totally complete my gigging needs. Cant get over how good these amps sound.... from bedroom to stage...killer!

That was the last time financial hardship forced equipment sales. Just finally got another Deliveance! Sig will happen.
