Whirlwind selector A/B tone suck.

People seem to think the Whirlwind selector sounds great (no tone suck), but in front of my Uberschall it's BAD, BAD, BAD!
It cuts the lows and gain. Makes the tone thin and lifeless. I have yet to try the selector in front of other amps. Thoughts??

Your def right about the whirlwind, try a Radial Bigshot ABY, its great for the coin you spend.

how long are the cables? the longer they are, the more capacitance there is and thus the loss of tone if you do not use a buffer.

you get what you pay for with whirlwind. in lieu of transformer isolation, you get that 1 mega-ohm active impedance buffer, which will suck the life out of any amp.
