Reissue Triple Recto Clips?

Nice setup! Holy moly! ….do you recommend the triple? What downsides, if any have you noticed or concluded with it? ….if you could only choose one recto, would you do duo or triple?

I would choose my Dual Rev G over my Triple reissue. My Dual has been challenged by another Dual Rev G, a Triple Rev G and a Rev F. All are gone.

My results were the exact opposite. As usual, getting rid of JJ tubes improved everything. Putting in my Chinese 8th gen gave the amp more highs, and gain. Just plain better. Maybe your tubes are tired? I also put in all KT66s. THAT is a HUGE improvement in every way over the Winged C 34s, and any 6L6 group I had in there. Deeper tighter lows and EL34 type mids....win/win.

The tubes were strong. I have both of the Maxi Matcher testers. I got the same results with my Mini Rec and Stiletto Trident. I prefer the stock tubes in those also.

KT66 is superior to any 6L6 but it comes down to preference.

Interesting. There are diamonds out there. Some also prefer Mk IIIs to C+s....that one I cannot understand at all...but, maybe some IIIs are special. The 4 G Rectos I had were just OK....they were easily eclipsed by the 2 Fs, and C...and now the Triple RI.

The recent rev G dual I had was undeniably crushing so better include that.
