My cousin, older than me by 27 years grew up with them. Went to same School and she is still friends with them to this day. I met them when I was around 12 years old near the peak of their fame when I was visiting her with my mom. They are genuinely great people, very humble. Meeting Rick helped inspire me to get my first guitar.

They were from Rockford, IL. I saw them for the first time in Champaign/Urbana. Got to shake Robin's hand. About as close as I ever got to them. I'd rather be in Brent's shoes.

I saw them at a local theater ~25 years ago. Robin hung out at a small Irish bar across the street for about an hour before the show started .
Watched an interview with Rick recently, although I’m not sure when it was filmed, where he showed a bunch of the iconic guitars, talked about Hamer, etc. Some looked really beat - real world relic jobs - and he said they weren’t museum pieces. They get played
